Terms and Conditions

  1. At Will- My employment by PPS Inc. is strictly an employment At-Will and is terminable by either PPS Inc. or myself at any time, in either party’s sole discretion, without advance notice. No PPS Inc. representative has the authority to modify this policy. I understand that at no time may I rely on any policies, procedures, customs and/or statements, whether written or verbal, to constitute a modification of this condition of my employment.
  2. Convictions- I have not been convicted of any crime or violation of law, other than that stated and explained in detail on my completed application form, any change may result in immediate termination.
  3. Employment Understanding- I understand that I am not employed by the facility to which I am assigned, but by PPS Inc. I will not, under any circumstances, communicate to PPS Inc. clients working hours, rate of pay, benefits or similar subjects. I understand and agree that I may be required to work irregular hours and/or for different clients at various locations as directed by PPS Inc.
  4. Time & Attendance- If I am unable to report for work on any particular day, I must under all but the most extenuating circumstances call my supervisor at least 4 hours before the time of the scheduled shift start time. If I call less than 4 hours in advance and do not arrive in time to my assigned shift, I will be considered tardy and/or absent for that day. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness, whether excused or not, will not be tolerated (more than 3 tardy/absent days in a 60-day period).
  5. Driving Policy- I understand that I must provide my own transportation to my work assignment. I also understand that company and client vehicles are not to be used for personal matters under any circumstances. In the event I use a company vehicle, I agree to abide by all local and state driving regulations, and further agree that any violation of those regulations can result in grounds for revocation of my driving privileges. Any citations, parking or moving, will be considered an act of gross negligence and therefore may be deducted from my paycheck.
  6. Damages- I agree to pay for any damage or loss I cause to PPS Inc., or its client’s property due to my gross negligence, as determined by PPS Inc. management with reasonable judgment. I agree that any money owed to PPS Inc. resulting from loans, advances, damaged property, lost property, or unauthorized use of property may be deducted unilaterally from my paycheck.
  7. Dishonesty- I understand that should circumstances develop which indicate dishonesty, theft, or unsatisfactory performance for any reason, I may be suspended indefinitely without pay, pending investigation and a determination of the facts by PPS Inc.
  8. Screening- I agree that my employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks, acceptable psychological screening results, and when applicable, my obtaining required State and/or Federal licenses. I agree to voluntarily resign and promptly return all property issued to me by PPS Inc., in the event of my failure to obtain the requisite State and/or Federal licenses required for employment.
  9. Work Site- I understand that I can expect transfers among work sites from time to time, which may include varying rates of pay, based on the client’s contract. I agree to such transfers as the needs of the company dictates.
  10. Company Uniform & Equipment- I understand that I will be issued certain specified items of clothing and or equipment at the time of hire, which remains the property of PPS Inc. I agree to pay a full deposit on these items. In the event that my employment is terminated, I agree to return all items issued to me in good condition, aside from normal wear and tear. I will be refunded and the amount of my refund will be based on the condition of the items that I returned. I agree to allow PPS Inc. to deduct from my final paycheck the replacement cost of clothing/equipment furnished to me, which I did not return or returned in damaged condition.
  11. Employee Handbook- I agree to study the employee handbook thoroughly, familiarize myself with its contents and keep it with me while on duty.
  12. Policies- I understand and agree that the Company Rules and Regulations is a general guideline and is not to be construed as an employment contract of any kind. I understand that the Company Rules and Regulations in no way supplements or contradicts or modifies the terms of my employment as governed by this employment acknowledgment. I also understand that PPS Inc. reserves the right to change its policies, rules and regulations at any time, with or without notice, as deemed necessary by PPS Inc. in its sole discretion, except as it relates to the at-will employment policy as stated in paragraph one (1).
  13. Benefits- I understand that certain benefits may be provided to me at designated locations. My eligibility for such benefits is determined by PPS Inc. and eligibility for these benefits is based on the client contract governing this post to which I am assigned.
  14. Cooperation- I understand and agree to cooperate with the company and its clients in any investigation involving my employment or job performance. Being aware of this need in the Security Industry. I agree to voluntarily participate in any investigation, interrogation, interview, or any other test or procedure if requested by PPS Inc. management. I understand that my failure or refusal to cooperate in any investigation is grounds for termination of employment.
  15. Claims- I hereby agree to indemnify and hold PPS Inc. harmless from any and all claims, actions, losses or expenses arising out of any deduction from my pay made in good faith by PPS Inc. in accordance with either article ten (10) or eleven (11) of this employment acknowledgment and/or arising out of participate in any investigation, interrogation, interview, examination, test or procedure conducted in accordance with article fifteen (15) of this employment acknowledgment or any related employment action by PPS Inc.
  16. Confidentiality- I understand and agree to hold all confidential information of PPS Inc. in trust and confidence, and except, as may be authorized by the PPS Inc. President and in writing, I shall not disclose any such confidential information to any person. I will be required to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement.
  17. Trade Secrets- I acknowledge and agree that the names, addresses and other information of PPS Inc. customers constitute trade secrets of PPS Inc., and that the sale or unauthorized use disclosure of any of PPS Inc. trade secrets obtained by me during my employment with PPS Inc., constitutes unfair competition. I agree not to engage in any unfair competition with Employer.
  18. Conflict of Interest- For a period of 5 years immediately following the termination of my employment with PPS Inc., I shall not seek employment or work for any PPS Inc. customers. Furthermore, during my employment with PPS Inc., I will not contact any clients for any reason, unless instructed to by PPS Inc. management.  I will be required to sign a Non Compete Agreement upon hiring.
